The Ceragem in Poland that is Growing with customer reliance

Since opening their headquarters at Poland in April 2006, there has been a significant signs of growth for Ceragem. The business currently owns thirty three different service centers across Poland. However, Ceragem has a moderate beginning for their international conquest where Director Gang Suk Lee launched the idea in 1999 near the Kyung-book province in Korea. In 2006 Director Lee’s venturing endeavors into Poland had created a global phenomenon for Ceragem.

 When Director Lee was approached with the idea of heading Ceragem’s venture into Poland, he saw a great opportunity for Ceragem due to Poland’s long-lasting winters. Long-lasting winters usually create various geriatric diseases, and Ceragem’s thermal massagers seemed to be the perfect answer to patients that are suffering from such illness. Also, since Polish people’s diets are mostly based on meat products, there was a high chance of prospective patients suffering from geriatric disease that will demand Ceragem’s products.

Although Director Lee’s prediction was proven to be correct, there were cultural issues that could hamper Ceragem’s efforts. Poland has a very negative view towards foreigners, and foreign businesses since they have a history of foreign invasion.
Polish people’s xenophobia can be understood just by looking at the facts that 1/5 of the population was slaughtered by foreign nations during World War II. Since Korea had a history with foreign invasion as well, it was easier to understand Poland’s situation.
 To eliminate Poland’s doubt and caution towards foreigners, Director Lee decided to go into the Polish market and build a direct customer reliance relationship between the Polish and Ceragem.
 “First we would convert our massagers into medical products and distribute them into 4 university hospitals and general hospitals. From here we can convey the warm message that we are here to help the Polish people with unchanging efforts to please our customers.” By releasing such rational and emotional marketing strategy at a perfect time, Director Lee was convinced that it was these efforts that made Ceragem’s successful in Poland.

 For Director Lee, the two greatest obstacles in establishing a business in a foreign nation are the administrative management and language barriers. These two factors are always hot issues for businessmen who are interested in doing business with foreigners.
 Fortunately, Ceragem had a translator that was very fluent in Polish. Although this alleviated some tensions regarding the language barriers, the translator was not so proficient in professional jargons in Poland. There are a plethora of aspects, other than language barriers, that creates such tension when establishing a business in a foreign nation. For that we should give a hand to Ceragem for their success in Poland.

Ceragem will have 50 service centers in Poland and are planning to have 100 later in time. To reach this goal, Director Lee is planning to focus on creating an education program for all the service center personnel at Ceragem.
Ceragem is planning to host various seminars each month, and family unity competitions. This would help educate Ceragem employees and establishments about Ceragem’s future objectives.
